    I have a Ariston AWD12 and nothing worked on it at all after 18 months of good use, done the reseting thing and it now washes but will not dry. Any ideas on why this could be and can be fixed.

    could be a number of things ie dryer fan,element,one shot device etc should really get a engineer in to look at it does not sound like a simple diy job 🙁

    Thanks, there is no heat when dryer is selected although it does think that it is on the drying cycle. have removed all clogged fluff etc from plastic thingy attached to the heater but still does not work. could it be pump related or is is more likely to be heater element/motor

    Hi Geon,
    Philfish is probably right about getting an engineer. There are multiple possibilities as to the exact nature of the fault, and if you do not have the skills to use a multimeter safely you are on a hiding to nothing.

    Have a look in the Directories section on the left for a local UKW engineer, or pop your postcode in this thread and someone will probably be able to help after the weekend.
