Participanthi all, this dryer does heat up but the clothes are still wet when the timer ends. steam comes out of soap draw. fitted a new valve(triple) for e17 fault code, dryer hasnt worked properly since ❗ it does allow a little amount of water in to condenser at start of drying cycle, then stops and no more water intake(during drying, wash ok) any ideas or a manual would be much appreciated 😀

The usually come up with an F17 error code not E17, so that’s a bit odd. 😕
F17 is normally associated with a water inlet flow problem and being as you’ve changed the valve already you will need to check the water flow through the condenser. Not an easy access by any means, but could well be the condenser is blocked with fluff.

hi, water does flow into condenser, at start of cycle, then no flow after that initial flow ❓ no more fault codes come up,your right it was f17.

Maybe it’s throwing an “Electrolux” = valve coil going open when it warms up.

but surely unlikely if its a new valve though?? put it on a rinse only and see how much it fills the tub, its very easy to get the hoses mixed up with the triple coils, unless im just stupid 🙂

That sounds possible. Could even be someone had a go before you got there, and customer neglected to mention it :rolls: .

Is there 240v across the relevant valve coil? Is it that that shuts down after 10 mins, or the flow of water before that? My stab in the dark guess would be that there’s some sort of flow restrictor getting blocked somewhere.

Are you still getting the F17 error code? Have you cleaned the condenser?
