    Smeg Dishwasher D1612C
    Turn it on and it pumps for a short while (all ok) then when it should fill it just pulses on and off with the drain pump and maybe the water as well continuously.
    When you open the door it will bleep 10 times and the program you have selected just flashes on and off continuously with no pauses.
    Circuit board?

    check the dispenser first, just connect up any old solonoid valve in place of the coil to confirm. Must admit dispenser faults on these are getting rare these days. If not that then pcb is suspect #1

    Thanks for the advice but a dispenser solenoid causing the compete breakdown of the dishwasher?
    Have never heard of this before.
