    This d/w is not heating ,I have tested the element & checked the board for signs of dry joints & burning – all o.k. – there is what looks like a thermistor/stat in the door – connect list this as a thermal cut out. It was reading o/c – so I assume this has blown if connect are correct is listing as a cut out – can anyone confirm this please.

    Its an NTC temp sensor

    would have thought you would get an error code had the ntc failed. its a rare failure. The correct resistance is very high, dont have it to hand, but a continuity meter will not show it. More than likely the pcb is the fault.
