HI, looking for help!! Diplomat ADP8252 integrated dishwasher about 6-7yrs old with no previous problems, has been leaking from the base, don’t know how long for, just realized floor covering was wet, so investigated. There is a slow drip from a fingertip size round ‘indentation’ in the middle of the base about 6cm in from the front. The water that comes out is cold. It only leaks when the machine is running, can’t work out at which stage(s) of the cycle it occurs. The amount after one wash fills an oblong tray 35cm x 30cm by only about 1cm, so it’s not a huge amount….What might be the cause?? is it likely that an enthusiastic DIYer could mend it, or do I need an expert to get at the seals etc???…Help please..

There are a number of things on those machines and can cause that. But, without dragging it out and having a good look it’s not possible to tell really.

From memory (and, it’s a while since I’ve seen one) that’s a Smeg machine with a plastic base tray so you don’t actually see much of anything, just a slab of plastic.

You’d need to get into it to know, the front cover at the bottom comes off to allow some access.

    K.
