KeymasterI’ve started a wash today, and i’ve used the 95 degree wash for the first time. The washing machine has come up with the error code f-10 and i’m not quite sure what to do. I’d phone the helpline tho they’re closed today. Would anyone be able to help me with this as I’m moving house next week and one less problem would be a great help

Ian,
It is a ‘Filling error’ which means the water level sensor has been interrupted for some reason?
Whilst these error warnings give some information as to the ‘likely’ cause, they are not to be relied on. I suggest maybe you had better check the pump first. 😉 (Located on front R/H/Side behind kick panel).
Turn off and disconnect first though!!!

Thanks for the quick response, Martin.
I’ve done what u suggested, and there was nothing in the pump. Nothing looks out of place that I can see. I switched the machine back on again and for a moment it looked OK as it went back to the original screen with the programme time on, however, the error message came back again, and the washing machine now sounds as though it’s trying to empty itself, tho i’m sure the water is all out of it now. Any further suggestions?
Many thanks
Ian

Errr! Scratching my head at the moment as these machines are not ‘an exact science’ by any stre——tch 😉
I assume you have turned the machine off and on again and fully ‘reset’ it as per your ‘user guide’???? If not then hold in the ‘start’ button for 5 seconds, then try again.
Fingers crossed eh?

I’ve just had it open again just to double check the pump. I’ve reset it too – that hasn’t worked – neither has pressing the start button. I’ve tried it again and now i have an F-01 error code instead!
I’m going to leave it unplugged overnight and call indesit in the morning to see if they can help, or call someone out.
Shall I leave it at that? If so, thanks for your help.

Ian,
To be honest, I think that the best option. If it’s less than 2 years old it should be at least covered by an extended parts warrantee. And an expert will be better suited to sorting it anyway 😉

F01 error is a motor and/or module problem.
As Martin said, best get the experts in.DP

😥 I am aslo having the same problem, the f10 code has appeared on my display.
Did you have any joy by calling out the engineeer? I have one booked out on thursday, but as my machine has only just gone over the 12 month warranty period I am a little unhappy about paying the £90 call out fee. Heeeeeellllllppppp!September 20, 2004 at 4:03 pm #116111Martin

Your problem is best sorted by the experts for sure and we will be pleased if you would let us know the outcome. 🙂
If however your machine has a major or costly problem and is literally only just out of the guarantee period, then you could cite that your machine, as ‘not being of merchantable quality’ and insist they come to some reasonable agreement with you regarding charges 😉

Tried the washing machine again last night in a last ditch attempt to save myself £90 and guess what, the little beauty worked.
Unfortunately I am unable to determine what the root cause for the initial problem, I am just happy that its working again.
😆 for now! -
