    Does the AEG-Electrolux LN79689 use the EWM1100 electronic control system, or does it use something else? (I know there’s a risk I don’t use the correct terminology.)

    Does anyone have any experiences with this machine, by the way? I assume it’s pretty much the same machine as the Electrolux EWF168540, only slightly more sophisticated, and still made in Porcia, Italy?

    Is this a UK model?

    We don’t get a lot of info on non-UK ones. 🙁

    Probably a non-UK model, as I couldn’t find it on http://www.aeg.co.uk/. The most similar machine on that site was this one:

    Unlike that machine, the LN79689 (which I’ve ordered, by the way) has a 1600 RPM max spin speed.

    This model uses the EWM2500 electronic control system which uses a larger display and offers more options than the EWM1100.

    Thanks for the info, hotpointtom :).

    Another thing, do current Elux HEC-based machines have problems with premature bearing failure, or was that just a problem with other, older Elux models?
