Had one of these fitted a few months ago, but before I start calling engineers out I would like to ask if the following are potential problems. Firstly, when a cycle is complete the dishes havenot been cleaned very well even when not fully loaded and the tablet has dropped to the base of the machine and hasnt dissolved. Secondly, when in operation there seens to be a rumbling noise( a noise not heard in the past). I have looked for any obstructions but have not found any. I have cleaned the filter, but I am stumped. Has anyone any ideas. Thanks in anticipation. 😕

Due to the extremely low levels of water being circulated in modern dishwashers, tablets become harder and harder to dissolve, ESPECIALLY multi layer, multi function jobs.

Fill up the rinse aid compartment and get some single function powder and things will improve.

    I betcha.

    Dave,

When you say that the was results are poor what exactly do you mean? Are there residues on the dishes or something?

In almost 99.99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of cases poor wash results are due to either improper loading and/or poor use of detergents and rinse aid. If you’re in a soft water area ditch the tablets as Penguin suggests, I think we’ve all had bad experiences with them at one time or another. 😕

You’re rumbling noise could be a problem though.

The tablet should disolve/break up whilst still in the dispenser. (The dispenser flap doesn’t fully open when the dishwasher door is closed, it only opens as far as the top basket allows). It is washed out/disolved by the water thrown up by the spray arms. As your’s is falling to the base intact when you open the dishwasher this indicates that either the spray arms are blocked, not rotating properly or the wash pump is faulty or partially blocked.

Dave, I would imagine the problem was resolved by using a good quality detergent and a seperate rinse aid agent.

As Penguin rightly pointed out, due to low water levels used in modern dishwashers multi “talented” tablets don’t work in practice 😉

    Dave.
