Hi All
I have been asked to see if we can get the September meeting arranged.
Its been mooted for it to be held again at coventry on a saturday for the meeting due to allowing engineers to attend without the loss of work.
The room rate I am trying to get reduced and that will be confirmed later.
The normal date is around the end of september and the following dates have been provisionally held.
Saturday 24th september
saturday 01 october
Sibson has already been booked for most of the months for weddings on the saturdays so thats really out the question.
Any comments on this please ?

I have a feeling people ‘Might’ rather lose a day on Friday than a weekend day?
Personally, I’m not overly keen on loosing a whole weekend (As obviously I’d be staying Friday night & Saturday).
For the majority, that’s misses & kids time as they work all week? For me, it’s my R&R time 🙂
Why not put a poll in the General Forum asking what people would prefer if they were to attend?

This also needs to be the WTA AGM I’m not bothered where it is ,not bothered wether its engineers only or suits that want to come as well .
If its engineers only we need to be very careful how we phrase it as we could upset people.
Also what about some organise this one whilst others overlap and start organising Feb 2012 ?
I think that the Hilton is good for the Feb ‘Corporate” Meeting and I have already been thinking how we can tweak things -as I am sure others have .
As for the Sept meeting like I say I’m not bothered ,so long as I’ve somewhere to sleep and eat I’m happyRe: September meeting

Can I take it that everyone will be happy’ish with saturday 24th september ?
If so i can start getting it sorted .

September 2011 is confirmed for the 24th which is a saturday.room web page will be done in the next few weeks.
As for the FEB 2012 meeting I have provisionally booked the 24th February also.
Can I make a suggestion that we allow Ian dales to contact the companies as he has already been getting them together and liaise with us to confirm which companies are attending and any suggestions for companies are passed over to Ian to arrange with.

I also suggest that we ask Ian to organise the floor plan for the larger room,he can then allocate spots according to size req etc .

September meeting room is booked for one of the smaller rooms upstairs. Lunch and coffee’s for the regular and committee members will be supplied up to 10 people,The rest will need to pay for what they have. Do you want a bar upstairs again ? .
The room rate will stay the same and a link will be forthcoming shortly.

Music sorted. 😉
And, I mean… sorted.
We’d better not sit in the bar, might not be too popular unless people there like music and a wide variety of genres. However it does come with a mild parental advisory warning but most of it’s safe enough, I didn’t get into some of the more “raw” stuff in my little collection.
There’s bluegrass, rap, rock, blues, pop… you name it.
Some of it is liable to make people wanna get up and dance though. Which, if you use your imagination, is enough to offer nightmares for some considerable time possibly leading to incarceration in a facility with lovely all round padding.
I left out the classical stuff, didn’t think the audience would appreciate it.
Oh and if I suss it out and you have an iPhone (not a shitty Android thing ;)) you may be able to browse about 20Gb or so of music and request your own tracks. If I can be ar$ed I might hook in a drive with more on it.
We don’t need amps or anything, I have it sorted.
But, defo best away from other humans that don’t want to listen to music. Or, it might make us popular, you never know.
