    DIPLOMAT TUMBLE DRYER AMP8620.

Hi, tumble dryer has become very very noisy, and although the drum is still turning, I am not sure that it is smooth as it should be. It feels a bit rough when turning by hand.
I’ve had the back off to check the bearings, but was surprised to find that the drum is attatched to the back of the machine via a “spinning bracket”, which in itself has a fair bit of play in it.
Is there likely to be any other source from where the noise would be coming??
Any thoughts or advive would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

It sounds like the rear bearings that have gone, but you’d have to have a look to be positive.

    The bearing kit is here
