My smeg Dishwashe has blown a track off the PCB i have followed the wires from the blown part of the PCB and they lead to the Tubular Heater Element.
Is there a way of testing the Tubular Heater Element?
Can i just bridge the broken track?
How dose this Tubular Heater Element work is air pump though the element and as it being pump though heats up?
    Thanks
    Will post model number later.

    Hi Paul,

Yeah, we’d need the model number to assist.

Tube heaters are instantaneous heating elements that heat the water or air as they pass through the heater.

The track on the PCB is a different thing entirely and some can be repaired with a bit of fiddly soldering, sometimes but it’s not usually successful and there is likely something else that’s caused it to blow in the first place. Tracking down the actual cause is important or, if you put a new PCB in, it’ll just pop as well.
