ParticipantDear All
I have the above machine which keeps running the main circulation pump after finishing its program.
This happens on all programs and although I can interrupt
it by opening the door or switching off it will still show time zero with the main pump running in the background.
If I reset it empties and then stops the drain pump but then
still keeps kicking in the circulation pump every so often.I have had the control board out and it looks fine with no obvious problems
Any ideas -I am stumped but suspect the board is goosed?
Thanks in advance

Have you had the dishwasher out and tipped it back …? The base maybe flooded? 😐

Thanks for yoru reply but its the main circulation pump that keeps running not the drain pump they are two seperate pumps in the base which is bone dry and the flood switch triggers the drain pump as normal.

Hummm sounds like a PCB fault to me but I couldn’t say dir certain . It’s unlikely but have you tried cleaning out the chamber and the flow pipe that runs down the front left side of the machine? Sometimes if this is blocked it can make it do funny things . Thanks DJ 😐

Thanks again-pressure chamber, transfer pipe, matrix all as clean as a whistle.
Got me stumped -may be the non return flap valve not working as it doesnt seem to empty completely.
although I dont understand why the main pump still runs-surely from the programmer?
When time zero shows the drain pump activates but the main circulation pump seems to stop and start.
If I open the door quickly at time zero I can see a dribble from the spray arms.
Could it be a faulty pressure switch? Thinks it still has water in it?
After a while the drain pump stops but the main circulation pump hums away quietly in the background.
Dont like to be beaten but I think it has me!April 6, 2011 at 8:00 pm #348608Applianceman2010

Yea it sounds Like a relay isn’t switching over on the PCB.have you had a look at it to seeif you can see anything? Carbon on the track or something? Are you in the trade BTW? I see you are on ukwg quite alot. DJ

Yes I had the board out and cleaned all the contacts there is no obvious sign of damage.
There is a thread on DIY same model/same fault but the fix doesnt make sense (flap valve) which I have already checked
and its clear.
I am going to swap the heater box unit tomorrow to eliminate
the pressure/temp switches.
I am not in the trade (well I dont qualify for trade access) I am semi retired and get a kick out of fixing mostly Bosch.
I do make a few quid which I declare but I would starve if it was my main source of income….April 6, 2011 at 9:13 pm #348610Applianceman2010

:rotfl: haha ok thaught it was strange that you seemed to know so much about it . Also i would’nt change the whole heater its just a micro switch which you can test with a meter I’m sure . I know you know but i have too say it because i on a public forum but don’t forgett to switch off the power! lol :eeek: also you said it had water still left in the bottom how much? i know you prob. know but it will always be full of water under the filter. Let me know how you get on .

I guess it wouldnt be heating or running through the program if any of the switches were dodgy.
Yes the water level is a higher than it should be imho
This model has the infamous jug impeller but havent seen this type of problem before ie overfilling or maybe weak pump?
I have a few bits from failed machines to try.
Will post back later

Bosch have an official recall on this model. The fault IS the board and I suggest you contact Bosch for a FREE replacement. 😉

Martin many thanks for the heads up on this recall.
I will book a callout and keep my fingers crossed re board swap.
Ironically my current machine (Bosch) has just cracked across the
top control panel -another achilles heal for the bosch machines.
Bodged a repair with araldite and yogurt pot strips but it is only a matter of time before it goes completely…Hopefully I can now get the other fixed and in service again!
