Participantexactly that, 4-5 years old, overchilling, and just about freezing food, have it on test atm, as weve already put a new OEM stat in from connect – (incidentally 6inches shorter than old one was) and still no difference, stat is on setting 1 atm, any ideas where to look next ????
theres no bad seal, carcass seems pretty square – (it didnt have anything sat on top of it either)
im just baffled as it cuts in and cuts out ok, its just too damn cold :rolls:

Does the phial push down a tube to the evaporator?if so the end of the phial being 6″ shorter wont be reaching the metal tube it sits in to sense the temperature, possibly wrong variation of the thermostat.

its weird, there was only one type listed on connect, and im not aware of more than one version of this model anyway???
its entirely feasible as it was only bagged someone pulled a fast one on connect and returned a different type i suppose???
any one have the information on the length of the stat ? or info as to which universal type would suit it ???

You can feel the phial “bottom out” when it reraches the end of the tube.
Do you have any numbers or cut out temps from the old stat, there is one that Hotpoint used for larders that were over freezing, slightly higher temp (earlier) cut out than vt9’s and danfoss no3’sApril 11, 2011 at 11:33 pm #348980gandh1

oh no idea, cust initially did the repair, convinced it was the stat. the lenght was a concern when they got it home, now have it here on running and over last 24 hrs consistently -2 on top shelf, and 1 on bottom salad bin. will strip it down 2mo and give it a tug and push to see if its all the way down (sounds logical wish id thought of that). not sure exactly how to interpret the stat specs on it tho, so any pointers are appreciated…

If you look at the thermostat it will be printed on the side the cut in and cut out temps.

Part no HPTC00264180 from Connect will do the job,it’s for Htpt larders, earlier cut out than no3’s and vt9’s,fitted one last week.has the same phial length as a danfoss no 3 so should be long enough.
