    Hu Guys,
The above washer dryer had a faulty dryer element (down to earth) so m/c would start etc)
Changed it over all readings fine etc etc.
put it on a 60 degree wash with quick option selected and it went through fine until about 11-12 mins to go when it just sat there for about 6-7 mins then drained out, had a bit of a spin then proceeded to fill up and have a few turns of the drum then drain out, have a spin again, by now the clock has got to 3 mins, then it filled up, started washing with the dryer motor going (but didnt appear to be heat at the dryer element)
Is this a pcb fault or does anyone have any other ideas.
    Thanks in advance

    Re: Zanussi ZWD16270W Wierd Fault,

Was there a load in it with detergent? too much detergent can cause it to try to do extra rinses, hense the filling, some Zannussis do put the dry motor on in the strangest of places in programmes, have you run a diagnostic?

    Re: Zanussi ZWD16270W Wierd Fault,

There wasn’t anything in it (no powder or softener) was just running a cleaner through it. (that went straight in the drum). Have since tried it with nothing in, using quick setting and normal setting and it went through fine. Baffling really! I’m going to put it on with a load in shortly.
How do I run a diagnostics test on one of these?
    Thanks for your response.
    Ollie.

    Ollie.

Turn dial to off position. Hold down start button and button tom the left of start and turn dial one position to right. After about a second display will flash C11. Move dial clockwise, each position tests different thing as per old Zanussis.

At 6 o’clock dial will show last recorded error code.

    Re: Zanussi ZWD16270W Wierd Fault,

    Thanks, do that shortly,
Just put it through a wash, Seems to have gone through ok but went to it and it was defo washing fine, water was hot etc, left it a while and went back when i expected it to be no too far off the end and was still rinsing with 1 min on the display, It did shortly after drain out and spin out for 5 mins or so then finished ok (but done all that displaying 1 min). Seems the timers all over the show,
I’ll be back with last fault code etc.
    Thanks

ED4 = Wiring fault, WD Board fault or PCB fault. 😕

Although reading the last alarm code requires the dial be set on the 10th position don’t forget. 😉

    Re: Zanussi ZWD16270W Wierd Fault,

Thats defo the 10th position, Is there a way to clear it? and try it again? to see if it comes up with the same.
All the wiring and connections seem fine so is it likely to be the main board would you think?

    Re: Zanussi ZWD16270W Wierd Fault,

Hi the ED4 would have been the dryer element whilst in diagnostics at tenth position press and hold the start/pause button and button next to it should clear last error code and reset back to E00.
