    I have a Hotpoint EG71G dual fuel cooker. When I switch the grill on it goes straight to full heat, it’s either on or off.

    Which part is likely to be faulty? How do I find out? If it is the switch then which switch do I buy to replace it?

    Sounds like a faulty regulator, part number C00199656.

    As this is a dual fuel appliance you need to take great care and should not touch any of the gas fittings under any circumstances.

    This machine is NOT a simple DIY appliance, isolate from the mains before you attempt any repair or get professional help from a Gas Safe registered engineer.
