Impellor Jug probs again Mike I’m afraid. 🙁
Has the installation got high water pressure? If so replace the jug again but turn the wick down. (They don’t work with hot water supplies either, by the way)

Warning duly noted of course. But whilst the Welsh language is more than a bit strange to most people. The Germans also have an odd way with words and translations especially when it come to translating ‘technical’ words into English. Now the reason ‘Impellor Jug’ was chosen by Bosch (who are German by the way) as the descriptive for the device was because it actually contains an ‘Impellor’ and the German for Impellor is (wait for it) Impellor. Being as the device is basically a counter for measuring the amount of water passing through, the clever Germans figured that we use jugs not only to contain water but by the same token , measure its volume….so they realised that the English word ‘Jug’ might well define its purpose? Sadly for us however, that ideal was ‘lost in translation’ though from a German prospective they cannot possible find reason to argue the point….so reluctantly WE in the trade adopt the phraseology if only to appease our German colleagues.
HTH? 😀

Ok so just because im Welsh doesnt mean i have an iq of 4 😆 i do know they are from germany lol :rotfl:
Lol thanks for that ,very informative, some more information i can store in my poor little head. I’m also fairly new to ukwg so trying to get used to all the jargon .
Also the “impellor jug” that hoover are using on there d/w seem to have the same problem.April 18, 2011 at 10:59 pm #349541leavemetogetonwithit

I have a problem with an SGS43T52GB/21.
Check water light comes on intermittently. Also drain pump cycles on and off during first part of fill sometimes but not others.
When I select ‘RESET’ with the machine full, the drain pump cycles on and off at this point as well a couple of times before draining steadily.
Noted water pressure is quite high, could this be an impellor jug problem?
If so does anyone have the part number, how easy is it to change?
TIA.
Jim.

I always thaught when you press reset (especially on newer models) that is how it does it , comes on for 3sec. then off then on 3 secs. and then on and pumps for about another min? Because it always makes me think there is something wrong and then i remember!

This is the sicasym draining system Jim. Designed specifically to go on and off in the way you describe to avoid ‘suds lock’ due to the low volume extraction constraints these pumps operate within.

Most definitely! 🙂

424099 and yes, easy to change provided you have a hairdryer to hand to warm the hose couplings prior to removing the duff device! 😀

Thanks Martin, not done one before, is it a side panel job or from underneath?
I had seen the ‘sarcasm’ 😀 system on fill but not seen one cycle drain pump on/off during a RESET before.Jim.
