    Hello,

I have a Beko Frost Free Fridge Freezer CA5411FFS which has stopped getting cold enough in both the fridge and freezer compartments. The fan in the freezer is still working and the whole thing is making a ‘working’ type noise but neither compartment are getting cold enough. I cant see anything obviously wrong, any ideas?????

    Many thanks,

    Emma

In all honesty with the fault described it could be any one of a number of things, defrost timer, thermostat, compressor, relay… there’s really no way to guess at it.

Common fault on this model is the defrost timer BUT without going through tests it can’t be confirmed.

Turn it off for 24 hrs and leave the freezer door open and then restart it as normal,If it happens again then the fault would normally be in the defrost area.

3x callouts, 3x new sales, admittedly we’re not refrigeration engineers ourselves but all 3 have had thermostat and defrost timers replaced, with no luck either time. call me cynical but there seems to be somehting in them that makes them conk out within about 18-24 mths mark because they were a comet or currys exclusive – sorry! 🙁

Gauges should have been used to establish if the compresor and system is Ok.
Used to do system repirs on Beko but gave it up as they reminded me of the Lada cars 😯
