    I have been unable to use my dishwasher for 4 weeks now as it won’t fill with water. (Alarm 5) It is 4 years old and covered under an extended warranty by Comet. I have already had 2 visits from engineers and 2 parts replaced. A valve and then the side panel that controls the water inflow. neither of these have solved the problem and I have to wait another week for an engineer.
    Wouls it be better to cut my losses and but a new dishwasher as I don’t want to be months without one!

    If you turn the power and water off, disconnect the water inlet pipe then reconnect everything it should then take in water. If it does it indicates a blockage in the system somewhere. (It will stop taking in water again if there is a blockage).
