    Hello,

I am trying to buy a thermostat for my Ariston fridge and am finding it very difficult to get anywhere, so if anyone can help I would be very grateful.

    Inbuilt fridge : Ariston Type kmc16v 160L s/n 802181034 47122300001.

From an earlier post (2005) I believe this is an Italian model number, so isn’t listed in the regular spars lists.
Or should I just get a new one as it’s 12 years old.
    Thanks in advance

Does the sensing tube (looks like a bit of wire attached to the switch) go into a tube or is it fixed to the side/back of the cooling plate?

Hi. There’s a circular plate about 6cm diam. attached to the back inside surface of the fridge, with a plastic-coated wire, your sensing tube presumably, which loops down and then rises and enters the plastic moulding housing the temp control and light, on the right, and this wire joins the temperature control switch.

OK if you order a Ranco VX0 thermostat from this sites shop that will do the job.
