ParticipantHi.
I have an Indesit washing machine that stopped during a wash cycle. I removed the top cover (after replacing the fuse, which didn’t fix it), and found quite a bit of condensation. I had already un-plugged it. I had a look at where the power cord entered the machine and saw that it too was rather damp and contsisted of more than just a connector. So I removed and dried it using compressed air. I should at this point say that I am fairly competent with electrics although I am by no means an expert. After reinstalling the cord unit the machine would still not turn on. No lights or noises when pressing the power button. So I un-plugged it again and followed the wiring down to the control board. On inspecting this I found that it too was damp. I removed and inspected this and saw a burnt area and it had the dreaded electronic burnout smell. I dried it out and re-tried it but to no avail.
Upon searching the internet I came across a couple of sites selling a replacement, but one of them states it as “Unprogrammed”. My question is : If I buy a replacement, will it require programming by an engineer? Or will it work when plugged in?
Espares list it as the following:
Indesit Washing Machine Arcadia Module (Not Programmed) for IWME126UK Price:£83.25 Stock Number: ES1062995
Manufactured by Indesit Part No. C00252878Any advice would be gratefully received.

To configure a new pcb you will also need a new smart card and card reader.I don’t know the price off the top of my head but they are expensive.
I am sure that Iadom or another expert on here will be able to quote youApril 26, 2011 at 4:32 pm #350103iadom

Thanks for the advice. Do you know if the pcb has to be installed to the machine to program with the card? Or can it be done remotely then just installed to the machine after programming?
