Hi there, you may be able to save my bacon (literally!)

We’ve just moved house and on trying to cook stuff, we’ve realised our electric oven door is missing it’s inner glass panel (and seal)

All I can tell from ANY markings on the outside of the appliance (It’s a separate electric oven with built in grill, and separate gas hobs) is a ‘QA’.

This may be a Diplomat Hygena QA oven. It’s white in colour and only has one main door, one dial which goes from zero to 250, then onto a grill setting.

I need to get a replacement seal and inner glass panel for the door, as I can’t afford a brand new oven. I’ve been searching everywhere for the correct match, but just can’t seem to find one the right size!

Any help here would be appreciated.

The dimensions of the metal tabs that would hold the glass in place are (not to the nearest mm!) 48cm across and 42cm high.

If anyone can direct me to an online link to the correct seal and glass panel, that would be frickin awesome.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Chix,

    Yes, it’s a Hygena oven.

The problem is, I’d need the model number to be able to check for you which will be on the rating plate of the oven and usually in the form of APL3310 or suchlike, three letters followed by four digits.

Normally you’ll find the model number inside the oven door or, if you draw the oven out a bit, on the top panel. If you need to do that there should be four screws holding the oven in place around the outside lip of the trim when you pull the door down.

Be warned though, there’s a bunch of these parts that are becoming no longer available.

    K.
