We need a forum that can be used by multiple trades where they crossover, like plumbers and kitchen installers. I intend to make a forum available for this unless there’s any objections?

    No objections from me.

I would make one point though, this has been mentioned before and it came up again at the meeting. There are too many forums for the general trade user.

Can we not condense all the dasa one’s in to one for starters and remove or combine all three international one’s in to one as well ?

    Re: Crossing Trade Borders

I agree with the condensing of Dasa and also reckon that the Whirlpool one should cease.
Both of these forums are not used enough to justify being there anyway. I appreciate Dasa has now improved its communications…..perhaps we should remove the forums and let them get on with it. They did not use our medium to publish the minutes and JP told me the idea of Network-Dasa has been successfully squashed, (which suits the Scottish duo plans). Whats the point in the forum now?

The Whirlpool one has run its course I think.

I also agree that DASA only needs one forum, where I will endevour to try and answer any questions I can and redirect any that I can’t, onto the official DASA site.

I have also tried to impress the fact that stale forums should be archived and stored in a libary section on the site in an effort to make the site more topically current and easier to negociate and explore for newer members.

It can seem more than a little daunting to new users who start to see the scale of the information currently held on the site.

It would also benifit the new more open relation we are developing with W.P.s and networks if our old battles are not still in everyones face. let’s face it we have won most of those battles. They now fully realise that this site has a very sharp set of teeth. We have to leave room for any new conflict’s that might arise.

Not a problem , Agree should merge DASA into one.

Okay, so DASA down to one forum and maybe a bit of a cull on the rest. The international ones I think we should leave but I’ll have a think on it this week as time allows.

    I’m a tad busy ATM. 😕

Me too Dasa down to one at the most , possibly consider just making it a link to the Dasa site ?

As for the removal of Whirlpool I m not sure, not that I’ve used it but what about it turning into some sort of manfuacturers agents forum ?

Any way thats me done of on hols see you all end of next week

    Regards

    Jason
