Hi guys
I heard of a strange fault the other day of another engineer.
Later style zanussi washing machines with control knob in middle of the fascia.(current range)
The fault reported by customer was the machine sticks at rinse position 1 sometimes at rinse position number 2 and sometimes works all the way to the end of the cycle.
No error code in display or recorded in memory .
The engineer changed the pressure switch, door lock, drain pump and eventually the circuit board all of the above failed to cure fault.
This engineer new of three other machines that engineers had and that appeared to be displaying the same fault also.
Eventually someone told him to check the motor tacho coil wiring where it enters into the coil, it may be snapped or very fragile .
When he checked this out the wire snapped in his fingers.
The tacho coil was replaced and the machine now works ok.
All the other machines are now working too .
Just thought this may help us in the future .
Cheers
Colin 🙂
