    HI, I have had a search around, but I can’t find any answers as yet. I have an Indesit electric oven which has been working fine until the other day. Now when I select the oven function, the grill comes on instead? All the other functions work fine, including selecting the grill as usual. Anyone know what might have happened?

    Hi Don,

    There is a sticker on the door seal that says Cucina K31EC(W)G

    Is that it?

    Is their a switch on the side opening of the oven door?
    looks like a little back stick make sure in not stuck

    Yes, that’s the model.

    It sounds like the commutator switch may be gone, you can usually tell if it has as it will be visibly burnt or damaged.

    If I am correct the selector switch is listed here.

    Hi Kwatt,

    I’ll open it up and have a look. I don’t really have a clue what I’m doing, but I can’t afford a repair man right now.

    Paul, I can’t see a switch anywhere, what does the switch do?
