ParticipantDoes anyone have a wiring diagrams for this dishwasher?
I have dismantled the dishwasher to get to the heater unit. I took notes but overlooked on the heater unit and the steam vent hose.
There’s a wire coming from the front door to the heater switch and it piggy back onto another connector but it looked like I wrote it down as White/Red piggy back White/Purple but the thickness of the wires confused me. The white/red is thicker than the white purple. Not wanting to blow it up, is this correct?
The white/purple wire looks like it goes from the switch to the drain pump.
And lastly where does the end pipe from the steam vent goes? It appears to be just a vent pipe not connected to owt except for the rear hole facing to the floor. Just want to clarify it that’s all.

These wires together go onto the heater safety microswitch (bottom terminal) with the Short White/Green on the microswitch (top terminal) going to the right hand heater terminal.

The end of the vent pipe goes through a plastic moulded retainer just above and beyond the mains filter/terminal unit at the back!
HTH? 😀
P.S. In future always take a photo (with your mobile) before you start taking any wires off! :lesson:

cheers Martin.
so I wrote it correct that the two wires piggy back?
What HTH means?
Will try remember to take photos. Sometime it is obvious to take photos but for some reason I did not do it.
It’s a lot of work taking the dishwasher apart. I wonder what the other engineers make of this. Is it worth doing it or walk away?

Only cowboys walk away, we ‘engineers’ welcome a challenge, don’t we? And once you’ve done a few ( or hundreds like I have) you can fix them blindfolded. 😀 😉
