ParticipantHi everyone
I really hope you can help me with this problem i’ve been having today! My washing machine can’t seem to drain any water out at the moment.
I had left it on programme 3, but at some point during the cycle, the machine stopped and was emitting a strange noise. The door lock LED light was flashing rapidly, whilst LEDs 2 & 4 were flashing more slowly. I’ve looked everywhere online but can’t find an answer for this. Does anyone know what kind of error this could be?
I’ve tried setting it to drain manually, but the same thing keeps happening with the LED lights.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Mel,
Not sure off the top of my head what that fault code is ( I’m sure someone on here will enlighten you) but it sounds like you have a blockage somewhere in the machine.
Firstly get the water out by dropping the drain hose in a bucket or something, I think there is a drain filter on the front of machine. Unscrew it and see what you find!

2+4 pressure switch stuck on full, its not emptying. 🙂
If you can pull the machine forwards, remove the mains plug and lean it back against a wall or the units.
Then use several towels and a large roasting tray or washing up bowl, place this under the filter before you unscrew it.
If you find that it will not unscrew or appears stuck then you may have something like a coin jammed in there, if so then the pump will need to be removed from the machine to fix in most cases.

thanks for the advice.
at the moment the machine is almost entirely full of water and wet clothes so we’re struggling to move it even a few milimetres. also can’t get to the mains plug because it’s behind a large fridge freezer that we’ve managed to move a few inches, but now it won’t seem to shift!
if i somehow manage to drain the water, will the machine actually let me get my clothes out?!
thanks

If you can get the water out it should open, it does sound like you are in for some wet feet though.
You should always be able to access your plugs a quickly as possible.

Check the hoses, quite often these are at full stretch preventing you from moving the machine. If you pull too hard the plastic connector will snap and you’ll have a wet washing machine and floor!
If the hoses are loose a spray of furniture polish in front of the the front feet can help you get it moving.

thanks for your help everyone. got my clothes out! unfortunately washing machine still isn’t working. we took the drain filter out and cleaned it – there were a couple of coins in there – then tried doing another load but now it’s doing the same thing again.
think the machine’s had it’s day!
