    Hi Guys.

Got a leak from the seal on top of the salt/resin container on this dishwasher.
Thought tightening the securing nut would do job but no luck.

Have changed the rubber flat seal but it still leaks.

Is there a quick fix for this or do I have to change the container and if so what sort of job is it. 😕

    Thanks.

    Chris.

First of all Chris, I’ve not so far come across a salt container that leaks on one of these, other than the collar not tightened sufficiently onto the rubber gasket under the tub. But, there’s a good chance that the salt has corroded a tiny pin-hole in the stainless tub in that immediate vicinity that’s causing the leak?

Being as you have taken the tub off already in order to replace the rubber gasket then swapping out the water softener unit is pretty straightforward from that point I think you’ll find.

Incidentally, with the tub right off you can inspect it for any potential corrosion. I’m betting that’s the problem. 😉

Your suggestion of corrosion makes sense Martin . Thanks for that.
