ParticipantHi,
I have an intermittent (has been going on for 6 months or more) problem where upon starting the dishwasher stops after 10 mins or more and beeps. The lights flashes 7 times before a pause. It never gets past popping the tablet. Sometimes I can get it to work by switching off and restarting but now nothing I do will get it to work I am about to call an engineer. However looked on this forum and can see it possibly is the water chamber. Can you help with this?If so where is the water chamber located in the dishwasher -i know its in the side panel but is that accessed by pulling machine out and taking of the right or left side or is it in the door?
Thanks in advance for any help

It’s telling you there’s a problem with the flow meter which is built into this fill chamber.

I think it’s in the right hand side buried between the outer panel and the inner tub.

Hi,
Thankyou I ordered the part and have fitted it…but I appear to have damaged the white circular disc that holds the seal in place of the refill unit. It now leaks and I suspect it is because of this.. 😥 (You can see it inside the dishwasher on the inner left hand side of you are looking at the dishwasher open). I have attached an image, I don’t suppose you know if I can buy this part?
Thanks alot
Emma

Ouch, no, it’s a full assembly I’m afraid the bits can’t be gotten separately. 🙁

oh dear thats the last time my husband lets me near the insides of a machine!! 😆 By full assembly do you mean the internal door or a new machine?! In your opinion is it a write off now?
Thanks

You get 1 of these rings on the new part and you should still have the 1 that you removed… I cant believe Ken is responding to a post where customer thinks flow meter is possibly in the door….should of suggested an engineer visit to effect a safe and tested repair. All probability was the read switch which cost about £4

I have broken the one I removed, can you tell me with which new part I get one of these rings? I didn’t get a new ring with the fill chamber? Will it still be cost effective to repair or should I just get a new dishwasher?
Many Thanks for you response

Hi embr,
As I said, you can’t get the part separately from the chamber itself, it’s only sold as a complete unit. 😕

Hi Kwatt,
Yes I understand that I cannot buy the part separately, but which complete unit do I need to purchase. When you say a complete unit do you mean a new dishwasher or can you point me in the direction of the what I need to order? Sorry if I am not being clear!
Thanks

Ah, the penny’s dropped.
I thought you meant the bit on the side chamber but this is the one on the inside of the dishwasher, yes?
If that’s correct then the part number is 481246278994 but it’s coming up as being obsolete. 🙁
I’ve sent an email to double check it for you.
