I despairately need a new or second hand door front for our AEG microwave. It is dark brown, Model No: E EH8775 E-NR 611880908.
The original one has already been replaced , because it developed a crack in the bottom right hand corner. The existing one has gone the same. If anyone can help please text me on 07989438941 and I will phone you. Many thanks……JohnRe: Obsolete AEG Microwave door

Exactly where is your door cracked? As far as I can gather, parts are available as the doors individual components can be replaced. Rather than a ‘complete door’.

If you do strip down or replace the door make sure you get it checked for leakage, you don’t want to be microwaved.

It’ll be the door outer, John describes it as the door front, I checked earlier and it is definitely obsolete 🙁

If it’s only the outer shell cracked then basically it’s trim,and therefore doesn’t affect the functional integrity of the appliance. try aralditing the component.clean thoroughly with meths,cottonbuds/tissue etc. araldite will NOT bond to dirty/greasy surfaces.also, more is NOT better. a thin coating to the cracked edges,draw them together(tape/elastic bands/string etc. allow to harden 24 hrs. most plastic parts can be reclaimed like this. as this is a recurring prob. I suspect that the moulding is a duff design with built -in tension stresses that cause it to split but the cynic says they’ll never admit it you clumsy,heavy-handed door-slammer, you!
