ParticipantHi,
I would appreciate some advice.
How do I remove the top.
I have undone two screws at the back. It will not lift up.
Tried the three screws on the side near the front as well, still it will not lift up.
Do I have to undo the top fascia screws as well. Unfortunately one of the screw on the right hand side of the soap box has gone rusty. I thought they should be rust proof.
Thanks

ParticipantSiemens Washing Machine WXL 120GB/01 . Transport – Moving
Hi,
When transporting the Washing Machine is it necessary to re-fit the bolts.
What if the machine has been transported without the transport bolts. What damage can be done.
Also to transport the machine, is it easy to remove the concrete blocks to make it lighter for moving. Or would that cause problem later to re-fit. Or cause damage moving without the concrete blocks.
Thanks
JM

If you still have the transit bolts refit them,if not you can always take off lid and put some cushions around the drum.As washman said do not remove the weights just making extra work for yourself.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies.
I have undone the two back screws and the lid will not move back at all. It will not even lift at the back.
I was just thinking it may make it lighter to move the machine if I remove the weights. Obviously if there is a possibility that it will ruin it or cause problem re-fitting then best to leave.
It weighs a ton though !
Thanks
JM 🙂

Hi,
Managed to get the top lid off.
Needed to undo two back screws and two top screws at the sides of the machine on the fascia.
Then the lid has to be lifted up from the back and then pulled at an angle. Nearly right angle.
I had tried it before. It would not budge.
Thanks
JM
