    Hi All,

I’m wondering if anyone can shed some light on my old machine!

This evening I loaded and turned on as usual. Within a few minutes I noticed a small amount of water coming from what appeared to be the seal on the lower left hand side.

Having turned the machine off and checked filters and seals etc I turned the machine back on. Now it doesn’t seem to drain out or let any water in!

Having just had a new addition to the family and a car, we really are not in a position to buy new so would be really grateful if anyone could help!

    Thank you in advance 😀

Sounds like the drain pump is either blocked or given in to old age. Extract all the water from the base and check it’s not just a case of food debris blocking the ‘plughole’ so to speak. If that’s clear and it still wont empty the investigative surgery is required I’m afraid. (These old beasts are quite a challenge to access the drain pump.

A local expert could sort it for you if you’re stuck. (see search for an approved engineer):D

Thank you Martin for your prompt reply. It seems that the ‘plug’ is clear of all debris. Looking like a replacement after all – BUM!!!

    Many thanks again 🙂

If it’s just the pump that’s gone there’s a cheap replacement one here, the “genuine” Bosch one is a tad more expensive. 😉
