    hello guys,
just been given one of james dysons finest creation in working order and thought it would be a great machine for the mother in law who helps with the kids washing!!
i first found the outer door not locking but this was due to a dicky micro-switch (easy fix) so i put a wash on to test it and was made up it was a quite machine and all seemed well then and heard the motor for the gearing change and was shocked by the gearing noise of cogs turning im now asking the question
are they usually silent in this mode?
do i have a gearbox problem?
i have removed the pulley and greased the gearing the machine has been stood for a few years but the customer assured me it was fine when they last used it
can i buy the spare or even repair this fault?
    any info would be appreciated
    mike

this is normal its like a whiring noise as motors speed up while in contra rotation mode

its not really a gearbox just 3 planet gears behind the pulley
