Bosch D/W SGS43A32UK/01 Overfills Operates Overfill Safety

Hi,

The machine is overfilling. I presume the glass phial sensor pcb at the front of the sump under the base is what controls the fill, in conjunction with the magnet float in the slot, in the sump inside the machine’s cabinet – essentially the vertical wall of the sump seperates the two.

I have taken both out and cleaned, tightened contacts, cleaned out float slot but still does the same.

Are either of these known to become faulty or am I to assume control board.

Incidentally which way up does the float go (it was very gooey and I didn’t realise it had two halves 😕 ) magnet up or magnet down – tried both ways and same happened but would like to know.
