ParticipantHi all,
Got a Hotpoint Aquarius WF320 with flashing lights.
sequence is: vertical lights from top down – 1,2,3,4 rapid flashing light 5 (bottom)is off
horizontal lights left to right- 1(doorlock)off, 2(prewash)off, 3(wash)off, 4(rinse&spin)off, 5 (final spin) rapid flashing. on/off is also rapid flashing.
Checked : brushes-ok
heater-ok
pressure switch-ok(clicking)
no loose connections
pump&hoses not blocked.all these lights flash until i unplug machine, nothing happens when i press on/off.
Any solutions welcome. thanks. :May 27, 2011 at 7:23 pm #352365kwatt

According to what I can see that should be a dryer heater error but, since it’s a washing machine only that’d be a good trick.
!,2,3 and 4 are lit/flashing and 5 is off, is that correct?
We’re only interested in the option buttons.

by the option buttons can i take it you mean the 5 vertical on the right near the powder tray?? 1=wash enhance,2=reduced creases,3=rinse hold,4=mini load,5=extra rinse. counting these from top down 1,2,3,4 are flashing rapidly while light on 5 is off.
by the way the 5 horizontal buttons i mentioned earlier are the opposite: 1,2,3,4,off and 5 flashing(counting from left to right)
checked heater element with multimeter,ok for continuity and a reading of 30ohms.May 27, 2011 at 11:48 pm #352367kwatt

The functions are irrelevant, they’re per model and don’t really matter when it comes to determining the fault code being displayed. 😉
The position of the lights are.
The other light flashing on the horizontal is just telling you there’s a fault, like you didn’t already know that!! Completely pointless IMO.
All we have on that series is here so far as fault codes go.
