Hi Guys I’m looking at a LG WD-80130F difficult to start to get the prog lights to activate when activated doesn’t always select prog. When it does select the prog it will start the wash but wont always finish no fault or error codes coming up I’m assuming its the pcb. Anyone had any dealings with these. Thanks Mack.

Do they have dampness in Cyprus too? It sounds to me like the tactile switches behind the fascia are playing up. They corrode internally and go intermittent. You can get new switches in small quantities from ebay or from any electronics supplier. Probably be surface mounted if it’s a late model. Soldering fiddly but not that bad. Or price up new fascia board.
But look also at main board, you might find a visibly deteriorating capacitor (not necessarily an electrolytic) there.
    Mike.

Yes we do get dampness here the type where the customer has spilt something down the control panel. Thanks for the heads up I will check those switches more thoroughly.Mack.
