    My never breaking Hotpoint DWF40 Dishwasher has just failed me and it is showing error codes of Wash and Drying (lamp 2 & 4).

    I have searched the internet to try and find out what this indicates but can find nothing, even on the hotpoint (not much use for old machines) website.

    I am wondering if they are the lamps of death, is it repairable by me (dab hand at trying these sort of things!) or a local engineer, or do I just say thanks for the years of good use and buy a new one?

    Any assistance on this matter is appreciated.

    From what I can see it’s telling you there’s a fault on the heating circuit, quite probably the heater itself which should be this one if you need it.
