    Hello
    I have a Beko ZS 430 which has recently developed a fault.
    The top element under the ice tray compartment does not work at all, the element below this (bottom of the fast freeze compartment) is semi frozen and the bottom element works ok.

    Therefore ice cubes do not freeze at all, anything in the fast freeze compartment gets semi frozen, the middle and bottom compartments appear to freeze fine.

    I have noticed there is what appears to be a sensor attached to the element at the bottom of the fast freeze compartment I was wondering whether this could be faulty.

    This is a fairly basic 4.5 cu ft upright freezer so if there is something I could repair myself (I’m fairly technical but have no experience with freezers)I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

    I’ve defrosted it and cleaned the coils at the back.

    It’s a refrigerant or compressor problem and not a DIY job I’m afraid.

    Whatever is in there isn’t frozen well enough to trust that it’s being stored correctly and safe to eat.
