Hi, We have a Liebherr SBSes 7102. The alarm for the fridge is sounding and the F2 code is displayed. Having looked at other Q & A’s I’m assuming a new evaporator sensor is needed? The service no is 0977584-02 and instructon manual says 7082 212-02. Please could you advice me on what part no. to order?
    thanks.

They have changed, the one fitted as the refrigerator evaporator sensor is this one.

It is most likely the problem but that cannot be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} guaranteed.

alfie, i tried to reply to the private message you sent me, but was unable to.
f2 is indeed a fridge evaporator fault and the part that ken sent you the link to is the part that you need.

    cheers.

A big thank you to both Alf Uckem (very witty) and Kwatt for advice on my F2 error code. I ordered, recieved and replaced the evaporator sensor and everything has since been hunky dory – no more irritating alarm beeps! I am quite handy but found Alf’s step by step guide (plug 007 Nov 4th 2010) on how to locate and replace the sensor invaluable. Without this information I wouldn’t have had a clue where to start. Good luck to you both

Hello and thanx for this site – forum – shop.
Everything looks in order here and I hope I will find my solution.
Well I have a Liebherr refrigerator
    this one:

For some months now I get a F2 error code at the display and a sound alarm that doesn’t go off. I cut off power for 2 days I cleaned the back as mentioned and above also I opened the plastic on the top and used a hairdrier for this sensor

But this is the air sensor not the moisture one right?
Anyway after I plugged it in it worked just fine for about 2 months and the F2 error came back. I did the same but it lasted just for 1 week.
Which sensor should I buy to replace and maybe some guidance for putting it correctly and not brake anything?
    thanx in advance.

    Re: liebherr f2 error code

hello, f2 is a fridge evaporator sensor fault, picked up by the pcb when there is a problem with the sensor.
it appears that the sensor you’ve been removing and drying is the air sensor.
the evaporator sensor is situated behind the plate on the back of the fridge.
you’ll need part no: 9590142 and the fitting instructions are in the pack.

    cheers.

thanx for the answer. But I’m a bit confused…
Well the part number you gave me says it’s an 9590142 – Liebherr Fridge & Freezer Air Sensor.
Are you sure this is the fridge evaporator sensor?
They have the same product description?
Cause I found this too:6942074 – Liebherr Evaporator Sensor.

And when you say “the evaporator sensor is situated behind the plate on the back of the fridge” in the back from the outside or from the inside of the fridge.

    Re: liebherr f2 error code

no need for confusion, that is the part number you require.

the sensor is accessed from inside the fridge, but you’ll have to join the cable at the rear of the fridge, behind the condenser grill.

    cheers.

Well I just received the product… and guess what…
No schematics where the sensor is. Just a drawing of how to wire the wires for the connector.
Please help me out… the alarm is driving crazy my family for over a week now. please?
In case you need my mail it’s thanosc@hotmail.com
    thanx in advance.

    Re: liebherr f2 error code

the sensor you’re replacing will be the one that is attached to the evaporator plate.
it will more than likely be at the rear of the evaporator, inside the cabinet.
you’ll need to take it from its housing and pull it through the cabinet from the back.
then you join as per instructions.

    cheers

    Re: liebherr f2 error code

    Hi,

I got really annoyed with this so just bypassed the sensor with a 1.6k 1{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} resistor. It’s been driving us nuts intermittently for months, nearly a year.

It’s not the same fridge but I’d bet you the same controller

Just a quick fix. Next I’ll bias the sensor with a potentiometer so it can be tuned away from the error point.

Then one day buy a sensor :rolls: yeeeah right

Tarrah 🙂 happy night sleep now
