I have a Balay cooker hood (Bosch) that has a metal grease filter. This filter seems to be ineffective, and the motor is getting lagged with drips of oil.
Can any different form of filter be used/added?
Is it worth using the carbon end-filters on the motor, even though my hood is vented to the air?

    Re: Cooker hood grease filters.

i would ring the manufacturer for advise. cant see why it is not working
adding the carbon filters will slow down the air flow and any grease that would be in the motor would end up clogging the filter

other types use a paper element but in your case you would have to find a way of securing it
