I just repaired a Daewoo DWD-G1243 which originally I was going to disguard as they are cheap rubbish … Nevertheless, the machine was diagnosed as having either a broken drum spider or damaged inner bearing….

When I took the machine and drum apart (a flimsy version of the HPT WMA) the problem was that one of the bolts that retain the spider to the drum had come loose and was half way out…
This loose bolt was of course causing the movement in the drum and locking as if the drum was jammed on the heater.

Be aware of this… If the bolt had come out, the machine could have ended-up as one of the list of exploding washing machines.

The machine is now fixed and threadlock placed on the bolts, no parts needed, but I very nearly stripped it for parts.

quite a common fault on them, if you can get the inner tub to turn you can tighten the bolts back in to the spyder by removing the heater, done a few like that.
