hi. i need help with my indesit widl126 washer dryer
for the past few weeks it has had a funny noise from the drum whilst it turns, then sometimes it would pump out when it was supposed to, and then not at all. i have checked the pump and there is no blockage, just a couple of coins in the black pipe to the pump. then i noticed a lump inside the black pipe directly between the drum and pump. when i removed this pipe at the top where it connected to under side of outer drum i noticed that the ball was not in the bulbous part of the black rubber pipe but directly above between the bulbous part and the inner drum, now that was causing the noise. i have pushed it back into the bulbous part and the noise has gone. but it still does not empty, there is no sound from the pump at all. has the pump burned out or will it have damaged the pcb, please note that when i first removed pipe from outer drum to check for blockages that ball was above bulbous area thus preventing water leaving the drum.Re: indesit widl126 washer dryer .
First things first, throw away the eco ball, waste of time & elimates one potential problem.
Then tip the machine back at an angle and remove the filter. Set it to drain and check if the pump implellor turns. If it does, the pump is fine. If not, first check you haven’t knocked the wires loose when accessing the sump (there isn’t always much slack on these machines), then remove pump and check it turns freely. If not, replace the pump.
