    carbons worn out so replaced. machine will not start on any program. motor tests ok as does heater and pump.
    the five vertical spin lights lights 1 3 & 5 flash
    I think I might have read somewhere on here about having to reset the board after a fault

    any help appreciated

    You could try this: –

    Set selector switch to off then turn the selector switch to the 6 o’clock (spin) position. Then press and hold the spin speed selector button whilst turning the selector switch one more click to the 7 o’clock (drain) position. Release spin button then turn selector to off.

    With any luck and a following wind that may reset the problem. 😉

    Wilf , also works on Bosch/Siemens/Neff appliances that might have had motor/brushes problems and show error codes F21 or F43 .
