    Hi…

I have a servis washing machine which is just out of warranty but now she doesnt seem to want to spin!!
It seems to be if i put bathmats in with a normal load but it goes through the whole wash cycle just wont spin.
So i have tried to take out heavy washing and turn dial to spin…still no joy so i tried take all washing out still no spin when u turn dial.
Surley if i try a dry cycle with no washing and turn knob to spin it should do what i asked??
I have had machine to bits and blown up water level tube so u can hear a click on solienoid + the pipe has no blockages…i also tried bypassing the no-spin button but still no joy!!
The brushes seem ok and cant see any burn marks on PCB.
If i put a very light load in it seems to work ok 5 pairs if girlfriends litttle pants etc.
Then if i put in the heavy wet towel+1 bath mat which is under 7lbs in total & seems very balanced still no joy!!

If i turn dial to with no washing in will machine spin or is there a load sensor sumwhere which cuts it out? if so where is the bloody thing so i can bypass it & can i put in a spin button so i can force the thing to spin!!

Any ideas please i dont understand it?

Where can i get the PCB tested is the nxt question? or where can i get a wiring diagram/decent manual so i know how these things work?

    Many thanks Alan.

    Alan,

First of all your machine does have an out of balance safety circuit within its Control Module (cannot be overridden). Heavy uneven loads will simply tumble and attemt to spin during the spin cycle. It will continue that process a number of times throughout the timed period of the spin, if it is still way out of balance it will simply stop at the end of the cycle.

If however it doesn’t spin at all, even without any load, then you have a Module and or Motor problem. Judging by the age of your machine I would suspect the former 😉

Almost certainly a PCB problem that one.

    http://www.qer.biz/NonUKTrade.htm

QER offer a test and repair service for modules.

You won’t I’m afraid, that sort of information is not available to the public, or even the trade in this case as it’s a Servis.
