About two weeks ago the fuse blew in the plug. Not a good sign as they dont usually blow for nothing. But I replaced it and all was fine until today. The power light on the door was on but the machine just wouldnt start. I opened and closed the door a couple of times, it started and completed the full cycle. So I thought the door switch is faulty. But on taking the door front panel off, I found the spring latch mechanism is still very strong and I have continuity across the switch when I ‘cheat’ the lock mechanism. The door lock hook is also intact. I am back to power light on but no start. Any advice on the next thing(s) to check would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Update:
Checked the filter and that is clear. When I put pressure on the door I can hear the microswitch click so that sounds OK. Ordered a new one anyway as the terminals outside the connectors look a little blued. Timer does not move and nothing happens if it is moved manually. No live at any of the pumps. So I am concluding no power from the main switch to the timer and will be checking that. Please feel free to tell me where I am going wrong 🙂

    Outcome:
Original diagnosis was correct. Live from switch broken at the door hinge. Probably because it left the factory with too much tension on it and finally snapped. Job sorted 😀
