Freezer compartment defrost heater ok and defrost sensor replaced. A plumber? has looked at this and replaced defrost sensor. I called to it and found thermal fuse blown. Replaced fuse 24 hrs later blown again. He has cable tied defrost sensor to bottom of evaporator. Where is it normally located?

That put’s it into a longer defrost which have NO effect on the fuse failure.

The thermal fuse must be fitted away from next to the heater. Is it sticking on defrost ? Faulty relay on board ?.

Sensor on the bottom is the correct position( which would give a shorter defrost as the heater is wrapped round the bottom).Further away from the heater gives a longer defrost as it would take longer for the sensor to reach the +17oc required to terminate the defrost.

Eck i moved sensor to top of evap. Noticed thermal fuse is 77 degree microtemp. Didnt feel heater on whilst cooling as i left covers off to see what heater was doing when i powered fridge up. awaiting a call back then! Pcb i reckon. Part number?
