Hi all first time I’ve been on for Dyson advice, getting no power down to the brushbar motor, found a module, the switch connected to J3 and J4 apears to be working although opposite to what I expected ie made in the upright position and open when the brushbar should be operating. now assuming the module is faulty unless I’m missing somthing
    please advise

most pcb’s like this change ac to dc for the brushroll motor

check wiring upto and from pcb have had a few breaks in wires going down the yoke

you can check for 240v in to the pcb and check the fuse. assume you have checked motor for continuity

beware though if the motor has gone it could take out the pcb so you may need both. what we do is give customers 2 estimates and tell them we cannot guarentee which one it will be till we fit a new motor

not had any module faults yet but plenty of loom failures on 15s.. cheap part tho, you need the “yoke” loom and it fractures in the grommit where it passes between the body mouldings and for future references, on 24’s b/r motors tend to burn out. note replacement motors have a shaft attatched to the tri-swirl catch, so you need to order the updated brushbar too for a 24.
