    Is there a clamp band available to fit the door gasket to the front panel of the machine, that is spring loaded, rather than the screw and wire fitting?
    I struggle with these especially when the hole for the screw is rotten.

    They were tricky ones them, i dont think i ever got one back on the same as it came off! Dont know of an alternative but I guess a lot of them are similar sizes so there may be one out there but sounds like more hassle to try other ones than fitting the correct one. These are pretty old now so dont come across them so much.

    Don’t hold me to it but I reckon the early Whirlpool one should fit, part number 4819 492 68515.

    It’s a wire clamp with a longish spring so it should be easy enough to adapt.
