I was recently given a bosch wfl2260 maxx and although it works fine, there’s a stale smell coming from it. I’ve taken the top off and removed what i assume is the filter at the back but that appears to be clean so I’ve replaced it. I don’t want to remove anything else until I know what to look for.

    Any suggestions?

    Joe,

It will need a few long hot washes to help cure this I guess. Calgon is worth putting in to help with what is really a build-up of limescale. Also try 3 heaped tablespoons of Bicarbonate of Soda in the drum and set on a 60 degree wash cyle to help clear it.

Finally, remove and scrub clean the dispenser tray and inside the dispenser cavity. My advice also, is to avoid liquid detergent in a hard water area, powder or tabs are best 😉 Plus scrape clean the folds of the door seal too 🙂

Cheers for that – looks like a couple of boil washes are in order 🙂
