The buttons on this machine won’t work. When the machine is turned on by the plug the lights on the front light up okay, when I turn the programme dial the wash indicator lights change as normal. None of the option buttons work or the start button and the machine won’t turn off from the on/off button. If the spin speed or wash temp dial are turned all the lights go out. Is there a child lock on these boards? Have read the user manual and it doesn’t say there is.
    Hope some one can help.

No child lock that I am aware of, sounds like a PCB failure but which one?

Both PCB’s off to EMW for test/repair would be the best option after you have checked for poor connections, checked the motor brushes and meggered the heater of course.

Have another good read of simple pcb repairs sticky. I have a suspicion this sounds like a capacitor problem.
