    while doing some d.i.y. i put a screw in my pocket and forgot to remove when i put the trousers in the washing machine (zanussi turbodry wdj 1285)there is now a clanking sound when the drum turns,obviously the screw,how do i remove it i think it is behind the drum

    Yes you will need to take the tub & drum out. Split the 2 halves to retrieve those screws. The is no shortcut…… 🙁

    all this depends on how big the screw is
    on Zanussi if its a bigger screw it can get caught at the front of the drum or if your lucky is down by the heater

    had a lot of success with wire coathangers if you can see the screw you can hook it out
    if its down the front you may be able to see it by putting your head in the door and looking down between the inner and outer drum
    if its underneath you need to remove cases and remove heater or a hose and work it out
    its not easy but with practice can be done
